Breathing Color, Inc., has launched its new PureG™ archival line of solvent canvas and paper for the premium fine art and fine art photography markets.  According to the Company, the products are the first of their kind in the world.

“Our clients are on the cutting edge of the digital imaging market, and they are already creating the finest giclée prints available,” said Nicholas Friend, president of Breathing Color.  “PureG products are the first with archival certification and will enable our clients to transition into the solvent market, where they can produce the same quality at substantially lower costs.” Friend said the PureG line is unique because it is manufactured free of optical-brightener additives and has been tested for print permanence and approved by the International Fine Art Trade Guild.

The Company has issued Archival Quality Certificates for three products when used with Roland’s Eco-Sol Max Inks.  The certificates, which provide an assurance that archival standards for print permanence are met, are for the Breathing Color’s Urth Canvas, Mint Smooth Fine Art Paper, and Jade Velvet Fine Art Paper.  Although not yet tested with Epson solvent inks, the Company expects similar archival results.

The Firm has also announced an environmental initiative to accompany the introduction of its PureG brand. Working with American Forests, a world leader in planting trees for environmental restoration, Breathing Color promises to plant one tree for every roll purchased, under the campaign slogan: “You buy a roll, we plant a tree.”

Breathing Color, Inc. is a leading designer and supplier of digital inkjet media and post-print protective coatings. The firm, with operations in North America, the United Kingdom and Australia, is focused on the art and photographic markets with products that maximize color and longevity.
